Why We Have a Model Program
Our model program allows emerging stylists to practice and refine their skills in a real salon environment.
While education classes and mannequin work are important, nothing compares to working with real hair, real goals, and real guests.
Model appointments help our team build confidence while continuing to learn techniques, consultation skills, and service execution under the guidance of our experienced stylists.

What Is a Hair Model?
A hair model is a guest who volunteers to receive a salon service as part of an educational opportunity.
Model services are performed by:
- Assistants
- Stylists-in-training
- Team members learning a new technique
Every model appointment is supervised and supported by senior members of our team.
This means you’ll still receive professional guidance, personalized recommendations, and the thoughtful experience Rooted is known for.
What Services May Be Offered?
Model opportunities vary throughout the year depending on our team’s educational needs.

Not every application will be a fit for every opportunity, which is why we ask interested guests to complete our Model Application Form.

At Rooted, model services are offered at a significantly reduced cost. Guests typically pay only a nominal fee based on the products used during the service.
This allows our team to continue learning while making services more accessible for participants.
