Katelyn
Owner & Founder
Katelyn opened Rooted Salon in 2017 with a vision to create a space where both guests and stylists feel truly at home. With over 15 years behind the chair, her career has evolved from stylist to salon owner to mentor—shifting her focus toward building a supportive, sustainable career path for future professionals in an often unpredictable industry.
While she still specializes in short cuts and working with silver hair and mature women, Katelyn’s heart is now fully rooted in cultivating a strong salon culture, refining the guest experience, and leading with intention. She treats the salon as an extension of her home, and finds deep joy in welcoming every guest with warmth and care.
Katelyn is married to Brandon, her partner in life and in business. Though he works behind the scenes, his support helps bring Rooted’s vision to life every day. Together, they have two beautiful kids—Arlow (5) and Declan (3)—and are in the thick of raising a family while growing a business that reflects their values.
Rooted is more than a salon—it’s a reflection of Katelyn’s passion for people, progress, and purpose.

My mom’s hairdresser. By the age of 6, I knew I was destined to be a stylist. I never wavered in my decision.
